API-MODIFIED
HIGH PRESSURE THREAD COMPOUNDS
A high-pressure thread compound that conforms to or
exceeds the requirements of API RP 5A3 and former API
BUL 5A2. It also contains rust and oxidation inhibitors
blended in JET-LUBE’s unique grease compounded from
custom-refined, low-sulphur oil to ensure brushability
over a wide temperature range, tenacious adherence to
all surfaces, resistance to water washout, and
prevention of rust/corrosion. API-MODIFIED will seal and
withstand pressures to 10,000 psi and will not harden or
dry. The lubricating characteristics of API-MODIFIED
reduce friction in the makeup of casing and tubing,
preventing galling and wear. Maximum thread engagement
is ensured, providing optimum leak resistance.
Inhibitors in API-MODIFIED provide maximum protection
against rust and corrosion of threaded surfaces. It is
conductive to reduce the possibility of electrolytic
corrosion by preventing the formation of galvanic cells
in the presence of salt water and other corrosive
fluids. |

JET-LOK II
EPOXY BASED THREADLOCK KIT For OCTG Applications
Use when tubular
connections have to be permanently or semi-permanently
locked together, for example, where they are to be left
installed for a longer than usual time or to prevent
disconnection when reverse direction of rotation is to
be applied. Jet-Lok ll is a better alternative than
welding as it allows future disconnection by heating to
over 290˚C. Jet-Lok
ll can also be used on rotary shouldered connections to
prevent disconnection if reverse direction needs to be
applied. |

JET-LUBE 21®
DOUBLE DUTY TOOL JOINT COMPOUND
Environmentally friendly JET-LUBE 21® has been
formulated to provide a superior level of performance
for the increasing demands of today's oilfield market.
The lead-free formulation contains copper flake as the
only metallic component and is fortified by a unique
blend of natural, inorganic, extreme-pressure, and

KOL'R-KING® DRILL COLLAR
COMPOUND
KOL'R-KING® contains 60% pure metallic lead, along with
CZ-EX® (JET-LUBE's extreme pressure additive), rust and
corrosion inhibitors, plus special proprietary binders
to reduce lead buildup and minimize the need for wire
brushing on breakout. The premium quality metallic lead
in KOL'R-KING meets or exceeds the lead specifications
listed in the First Appendix of API Recommended Practice

natural extreme pressure and anti-wear additives.

KORR GUARD STORAGE COMPOUND
KORR-GUARD™ is a water displacing, specialized formula
utilizing a unique approach to rust and corrosion
resistance. Many of the corrosion resistant greases on
the market are petroleum base oils thickened with 3% to
9% soap. The soaps are typically lithium, aluminium and
anhydrous calcium and the resulting grease is treated
with 2-5% rust inhibitor. The rust inhibitor is oil
soluble and surface active, wanting to wet out on the
steel surface. Over a time, the oil separates and the
low additive content depletes. KORR-GUARD actually
complexes the rust inhibitor in high quantity as a
component in the thickener. The thickener holds the rust
inhibitor in place so additive depletion becomes a less
significant factor in long term storage.

KOV'R-KOTE®
PREMIUM NONMETALLIC, THREAD COMPOUND FOR USE ON DRILL
STRINGS, TUBING & CASING
KOV'R-KOTE® is the next
logical step for the new generation premium compounds
manufactured by JET-LUBE®. Based on the same patented
Polymer Chemistry used to develop POW'R-KOTE®,
KOV'R-KOTE is an economical, multifunctional,
nonmetallic thread compound. High strength polymers,
graphite, and other naturally-occurring,
extreme-pressure, and anti-wear additives lock together
under pressure to resist galling, seizure, and downhole
makeup. KOV'R-KOTE's exceptionally high film strength
(1000 kgf measured by ASTM D-2596, 4-Ball EP Test) is
among the highest in the industry for non-metallic
compounds. This makes it well suited for use on drill
strings in any drilling environment and for bottom hole
assemblies in most drilling situations. For the most
severe applications, KOPR-KOTE® or POW'R-KOTE® is
recommended. NLGI Grade 1. |

POW'R-KOTE® PREMIUM NON-METALLIC,
EXTREME SERVICE TOOL JOINT COMPOUND
A new generation, PREMIUM drill collar and tool joint
compound, POW’R-KOTE®, is formulated from a patented
blend of non-metallic, environmentally acceptable
ingredients. POWER-KOTE exceeds industry performance and
environmental standards and is highly recommended for
large-diameter drill collars in the most extreme
drilling conditions, including geothermal wells, high
angle holes, extended reach, sidetrack re-entry, and
horizontal drilling applications. This premium product
utilizes sophisticated, high strength polymers as well
as graphite and other naturally occurring, extreme
pressure and anti-wear additives in a synergistic blend
that locks together under high loads to resist galling
and seizure. The exceptional film strength is measured
by the 1000 kgf weld point in the ASTM D-2596 4-Ball
E.P. test. The additives package is blended into
JET-LUBE’s high temperature, aluminium complex base
grease that is fortified with antioxidants and rust and
corrosion inhibitors to provide long lasting performance
in a wide range of conditions. NLGI Grade 1. |

RUN-N-SEAL® METAL FREE THREAD
SEALANT
RUN-N-SEAL® is a patented metal-free, high-pressure
sealant alternative for API-MODIFIED. The compound
contains graphite and other non-metallic, inorganic,
anti-wear additives blended into a high-quality lithium
complex base grease. RUN-N-SEAL contains a large volume
of solids enhanced by a higher concentration of
large-sized particles. The improved distribution of
particle sizes and volume of solids provides an
excellent seal in large and small diameter,
non-shouldered threads. The lithium complex grease
provides a high melting point, ensures brushability over
a wide range of temperatures, and has excellent inherent
water resistance. It sticks to wet and oily steel,
ensuring the compound will not wash off threads. NLGI

RUST-GUARD LIQUID CORROSION
INHIBITOR
RUST-GUARD™ is a water
displacing specialized formula which dries to a uniform,
thin waxy film to effectively seal out moisture and
corrosion. RUST-GUARD provides long-term protection on
all metal and alloy surfaces, even under harsh
environmental conditions such as water, high humidity or
salt spray. Bulk formula typically provides six months
outdoor and one year indoor protection against rust and
corrosion. RUST-GUARD may be used both indoors or
outdoors as a protective coating on raw materials,
machined parts, tools, pipe, fittings, valves, etc.,
while they are being stored or in transit. RUST-GUARD
will not crack or flake off and, since it is applied in
aerosol or liquid form, it penetrates fully into even
the smallest crevices to displace moisture and prevent
rust and corrosion. RUST-GUARD is green in colour to
facilitate visual check of product application and is
easily and safely removed by use of a safety solvent
such as JET-LUBE® CLEAN-UP™. |

JET-LUBE® SEAL-GUARD
PREMIUM THREAD COMPOUND
JET-LUBE® SEAL-GUARD™ represents the next generation in
thread compound technology and design. Just as oilfield
pipe materials and connections are engineered for
specific applications and field service requirements, so
must thread compounds be formulated to meet critical
performance requirements. The thread compound must be
tailored to the connection design, material (alloy),
operating conditions and environmental and occupational
health restrictions. JET-LUBE SEAL-GUARD has been
specifically formulated to meet the performance
requirements of proprietary, metal-to-metal seal and
high-interference connection designs. |

TF-15® METAL FREE THREAD
SEALING COMPOUND
TF-15® is a high-pressure
sealant containing PTFE, graphite, CZ-EX® (JET-LUBE’s
extreme pressure additive), and rust, corrosion, and
oxidation inhibitors. All are blended in JET-LUBE’s
aluminium complex grease manufactured using highly
refined, low-sulphur oil to ensure brushability over a
wide temperature range, tenacious adherence to all
surfaces, resistance to water washout, and prevention of
rust/corrosion. TF-15 is highly recommended for use on
fibreglass casing and tubing by several manufacturers.
TF-15 assures tight makeup at low torque and allows easy
breakout without seizing, stripping, or galling. It
provides a permanent seal and maintains joint efficiency
under vibration, pressure, surge, and temperature
fluctuations. It is particularly useful in areas subject
to salt water, a wide variety of oils, solvents, gases
(except oxygen), acids, alkalis and steam. Withstands
liquid pressures to 10,000 psi. NLGI Grade 1-1/2.

Z-40 Z-50 Z-50
TOOL JOINT COMPOUND
Z-40™, Z-50™, and Z-60™
Tool Joint Compounds all contain prime grade zinc and
are respectively formulated with 40%, 50%, and 60%
metallic zinc, meeting the metallic zinc requirements
described in API Bulletin 5A2. All contain special
additives to reduce the plating and buildup of metallic
zinc encountered with other zinc compounds. Z-40, Z-50,
and Z-60 are manufactured with JET-LUBE’s unique grease
compounded from custom refined, low sulphur oil. The
grease base ensures brushability over a wide temperature
range, tenacious adherence to all surfaces, resistance
to water wash out, and the prevention of rust/corrosion.
The metallic zinc particles and other additives are
maintained in uniform suspension throughout the
compounds, and Z-40, Z-50, and Z-60 displace moisture
and adhere well to wet tool joint surfaces. NLGI Grade
