| Since the late 1980's Jet-Lube (UK) Limited
has led the way in the development of environmentally acceptable
lubricants, sealants and related specialty products. |

| Stainless
Steel fittings |
SS-30 was designed specifically for
stainless steel - that's what the 'SS' stands for. You can also
use Nikal, a pure Nickel compound, if you are working in an
environment that is not compatible with Copper. Note that you
can use Kopr-Kote on stainless steel as long as the temperature
on your fittings isn't going over 285°C (550°F). There is
graphite in Kopr-Kote which will pit stainless steel at elevated
temperatures.
It should be noted that some stainless fittings have very close
tolerance threads, and the recommendation is to apply compound
to both the male and female threads prior to installation. |
| Oxygen Lines |
| Jet-Lube Petro-Tape PTFE thread sealing
tape is the only product we carry that is suitable for use with
oxygen. With oxygen, you can't use any product with a
hydrocarbon base, such as V-2, TF-15, etc. which are
petroleum based products. Petro-Tape is a pure, virgin Teflon,
with no fillers as is found in some of the cheaper tapes. |
| Gas
Installation |
| Enhanced soft-setting universal thread
sealant that is approved for use on taper threaded connections
in potable water and CORGI Registered installations. Soft
setting nature enhances pressure rating, whilst permitting
subsequent adjustments and rebuilds. WRAS Registered for cold
potable water applications. Suitable for gas installation work
as defined by BSEN 751-2:1997. Service rating : -46˚C
to 260˚C. |
| Anti Rust |
| We have two products that would be suitable.
Rust-Guard is a spray liquid that dries to a waxy film,
preventing moisture from coming into contact with the metal. Korr-Guard
is more of a long-term storage compound. It will prevent the
formation of rust and corrosion for extended periods of time. It
is a light grease-like consistency and must be brushed onto the
metal surfaces. Korr-Guard can be removed with Jet-Lube
Easy-Clean or with solvents. |
